Straiture
Valley:

La
Glacière:
La Glacière (two kilometres from the lodge): This trail
goes along the Petite Meurthe river and is a nice way to discover
the flora from our region. At the start of the trail is a granite
rock fall where you can find ice under the rocks even in summer,
at least that is what the old say is about. |

Forest:
Nowadays, forest is an essential part of
the Vosges heritage. It is a vital and integral part of the inhabitants'
life. The role of the forest has changed over time and evolved
from being a resource space and inhabited place to being a place
for relaxation and tourist activities for urbanites. |

Petite
Meurthe:
The Petite Meurthe river during the winter. This little river
flows along the Défilé de Straiture from the Schlucht
and into the Meurthe. It is ideal for trout fishing lovers. |

Honeck:
The Lake of Longemer as seen from the Honeck. This peak is culminating
at an altitude of 1,306 meters (20 minutes drive from the lodge).
You can see the Alps by fair weather.

Longemer:
The Lake of Longemer during the fall (15 minutes drive from the
lodge). There you will find hiking trails, a mini-golf and lakefront
restaurants, foot-pedal crafts and rowing boats. You will also
be able to practice other water sports. |

Bellflowers:
These blue flowers still abound in our valley in June and July. |
|
|
Tortoiseshell:
The small Tortoiseshell is one of the numerous butterflies that
inhabits the Vosges region. |
